Furniture

At The Old Century Workshop , each piece is unique and the annual production rarely exceeds 15 units. The doors and casework are assembled with mortises and tenons, drawers are joined with hand cut dovetails at both front and back. In cases where back boards are nailed, either forged or square cut nails are utilized depending on the era. The hardware installed is also an accurate representation of the period. It is furniture built to last at least 200 years.

As the production of The Old Century Workshop often caters to the demand of a clientele enamoured with the past and looking for a reproduction that will blend perfectly with their antique furnishings, most pieces are created with an aged finish simulating the passage of time.
